Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY) – Boosting employment through EPF subsidies.
What is PMRPY?
The Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY) is a scheme initiated by the Ministry of Labour and Employment to incentivize employers for generating new employment. Under this scheme, the Government of India pays the entire 12% employer's contribution towards EPF and EPS for new eligible employees for the first three years of their employment.
Eligibility Criteria
- The establishment must be registered with EPFO and have a valid LIN (Labour Identification Number).
- The new employee must have a UAN seeded with Aadhaar.
- The new employee's wages must be less than or equal to ₹15,000 per month.
- The employee must not have worked in any EPFO-registered establishment prior to the date defined by the scheme guidelines.
- The employer must have added new employees to the reference base of workers.
How to Avail PMRPY Benefits
Employers do not need to fill separate offline forms. The process is fully integrated into the Unified Portal. When filing the ECR, ensure the PMRPY declaration is submitted online before the 10th of the following month. The system automatically calculates the eligible subsidy amount and deducts it from the total payable liability.
