How to Update KYC in UAN Portal
Link your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account to your UAN. Resolve "KYC Pending Employer Approval" step by step.
KYC is mandatory for online PF claims, balance check via passbook, and most EPFO digital services. Without approved KYC, your claims will be rejected.
Step-by-Step: Add KYC Documents
1
Login to UAN Member Portal
Go to unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in and log in with UAN + password.
2
Go to Manage → KYC
In the top navigation, click Manage, then select KYC from the dropdown.
3
Select Document Type
Choose Aadhaar, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the name exactly as on your Aadhaar card. Click Save.
4
Verify with OTP
An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile. Enter the OTP to verify and confirm Aadhaar linking.
5
Add PAN & Bank Account
Similarly add PAN number and bank account with IFSC code. These go into "Pending KYC" status.
6
Employer Approval
Your current employer must approve PAN and bank KYC on their employer portal. Follow up with your HR if stuck. Aadhaar is auto-verified via UIDAI.

Common KYC Problems & Solutions
Your employer has not logged in to approve your KYC. Email your HR department or payroll team with your UAN and request them to approve KYC on the employer portal within 7 working days.
The name in your EPFO records must match your Aadhaar exactly. Submit a Joint Declaration Form to your EPFO regional office with employer signature to update your name in EPFO records. OR correct the name on Aadhaar at a nearby Aadhaar centre.
Ensure your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar. If not, visit your nearest Aadhaar centre (post office or bank) to update your mobile number. It takes 24-72 hours to update.
Ensure the bank account is active and the name, account number, and IFSC match exactly. Joint accounts are not accepted — use only your own individual account.
